Our commitment

As the UK's largest building society, Nationwide is a familiar name on the High Street. Our presence around the country means we are close to the communities from which we have grown, enabling us to direct support to where it's needed most.

Our community activities include helping disabled athletes to succeed through Disability Sport Events, safeguarding child pedestrians through our Cats' Eyes for Kids scheme, recognising community volunteers through the Nationwide Community & Heritage Awards and our ongoing work with our charity partner Macmillan Cancer Support.

New partners include Shelter, the housing and homelessness charity, and the Citizens Advice Bureau, with whom we have a three year partnership to fund volunteers who will provide financial education training and advice.

We also support hundreds of events and initiatives across the country each year through other activities, sponsorship, fundraising and the Nationwide Foundation.
